What can we do?
Hello!
The summer vacation and I think many people is planning what to do for the left day of the vacation.
Going to the beach, go shopping, hiking, BBQ and so many other fun events!
Summer vacation is long and we have many time, I would like many people to think a little about feminism!
So, Today I would like to talk about the topics which relates to us.
I am just a sutudent and I think many people who is reading this blog is thinking what can I do ? Nothing big because I am just a normal person.
I'm going to answer to the question No.29 and 30 to think about what we can do.
No.29 Is there any education teaching or change in education of feminism?
I couldn't research much about the change of education in many country.
For example, in Islam or Hindu countries, there aren't such gender lesson becuase they have strong religious effect to their culture and education.
So, I would like to talk about Japan.
In image of "gender education" in the old days is "Man made the womans' right lower" or "woman needs to be protected" and this image is correct. But as the time passes, some people realised that man also feels gender problem. For example, being a man you might be said "Don't cry because you are a man", "It's not likely to go to the kitchen". These words don't have anything to create gender but it was said in the old days.
In nowadays gender education, it is not only for one sex and it is for both man and woman.
To say more there are LGBTQ people which is one of the topic which is hot now but still most people don't understand.
By searching the answer, I thought "gender education = human education".
No.30 What can we (normal people/ as a student) do daily?
Maybe many people is thinking they can do nothing.
I also thought that I can't do anything for feminism because I'm just a student and don't have any power or money to do any activities.
By searching there was many things we could do but I am going to tell only one thing because I think this is the easiest action. And maybe by writting many thing you might forget what is most imoortant so I made it very easy.
It is to talk about "feminism" "gender" to people around you and get thier interest.
You have some kind of interest to feminism so you came to our blog, but maybe the person who is sitting next to you don't have any interest to "feminism" or even don't know the word.
Feminism is not the most popular topic, as you know topis like "gobal warming" is more famous.
Just talking about "feminism" or "gender" with people daily will help spreding the gender problem.
We don't have to do big things.
Continuing to do small thing for long time will get us to the solution someday!
